Water and fire is transformation

So, how does that work then? You can’t mix them.

Well, first, fire heats water, which generates steam. Steam can power an engine. Then there’s the blacksmith, who needs fire to heat the metal and water to cool it in a controlled way. Cool it too fast or too slow and the end result won’t be the best it could be.

But then there’s lightning. Nature’s powerhouse. Water, clouds, are necessary to separate positive from negative charge. It creates the electric field that lightning needs. Water is essential to lightning. The moist air has high conductivity and even guides the lightning’s path. And apparently, when lightning strikes, the water vaporizing instantly is part of the collapse of air that gives thunder.

Side note: A while back I had a dream that I was living in a powerhouse. It was situated in a side street, with it’s back against a fence. The house was part of a unit of two, standing side by side with a shared wall. There was a park behind the fence.
